About Your UKAS Pipette Calibration Certificate

Certificate of Calibration

This document is issued in accordance with our UKAS accreditation 0438 and consists of at least two pages. Page 1 shows the customer and instrument details, calibration date and method of calibration. Page 2 and further pages will detail the actual calibration data, the details of which are detailed below, it may also detail the laboratory environmental conditions depending on the type of instrument.

Calibration Type

The certificate will be identified (A) ‘As Found‘ or (B) ‘ Post Adjustment‘. We will only use B when we have actually changed the calibration of the equipment. You may require both types to show the history of your instrument.

Environmental Monitoring

The Temperature, Humidity and Barometric Pressure will be monitored during the calibration.

Test Equipment

European Instruments will provide a suitable electronic balance, which has been calibrated at the place of use, suitably generated water for the calibration and calibrated environmental monitoring equipment.

Uncertainty of Measurement

This is calculated in accordance with an approved formula taking into account the following:

  • The pooled standard deviation of the technician carrying out the calibration.
  • The performance and resolution of the weighing equipment used.
  • The performance of the pipette at the time of calibration.
