I have had a couple of issues around the calibration and service visit on this occasion. Firstly I had to chase to find out why we had not had the engineer turn up on the original scheduled date to find out he was unable to attend. Totally understand the reason and that was not my issue it was the lack of communication around this and the fact I had to chase to get this rescheduled and even find out this had happened.
Then following up on the visit we received certificates with no actual communication as to which pipettes they pertained to or that there would be more to follow so after checking our internal list and finding out we had some missing I had to chase these up to be told there were more to follow. Again I then had to chase these up and after emailing a week later these were sent within a short period of time of me requesting them so they must have been ready to send out. I just feel I should not have to constantly chase to obtain either certificates or find out information when we are paying for a service and rely on this to adhere to our current standards. I will be monitoring the next visit to see if this improves by way of the communication to site.
